Played this on my Channel's Series called 3 SCARY GAMES! It's the 2nd game I played in the video starting at 13:44!
It's hard to fully give my full opinion, considering this is only meant to be a certain section of a full game, but I do have some pros/cons. Overall the visuals of the game are pretty well made, as well as the atmosphere being pretty decent. This game absolutely felt RE7 inspired with the introduction of Lucas himself, and he most def gave me a good initial scare!
(spoilers) Some cons that I feel could use some work would def be the movement speed. Overall felt too slow, and especially felt way too slow during the actual chase scene. In the end it made it feel more laughable, then actually scary. I can def see if it was Intentionally slower to make Lucas seem more cocky in a sense, but I feel a more frantic chase would be more frightening.
Overall I think this game has much potential with the right amount of tweaks! Can't wait to see what you do next!
Thankyou so much for the feedback!! Appreciate you man! We will update this demo soon. And this game will be more polish in the final version. Thankyou!
(This is the first game I played in this video) I think that this is a pretty solid start to a great game! Love the inspiration from RE7, you can definitely feel that when playing this! I would say make him and the player a little quicker during the chase, it just seemed a little too silly with how slow they were moving. However, I can't wait for the full release!
Really fun teaser. Good graphic design, nice build-up, and good climax, able to give you a short experience with almost no backstory which creates all the more intrigue. I played SolitaryStudios' other game UNDER just a few weeks ago and that game was also great; these guys are worth keeping an eye on. Great effort here and good game!
honestly this demo was so good, the way you captured the horror through atmosphere and scares was amazing!, also seen a couple people say stuff about the walking speed but i think its perfect the way it is really adds to the tension and keeps you on your toes , gameplay below if you enjoy be sure to hit the sub button!
You nailed the atmosphere, the feeling of isolation and I really want to see more. Excellent job using inspiration from Resident Evil 7, you pulled off some of the best darkness I've seen in an indie game ever.
A few minor bugs I noticed involving some occlusion culling, and I'd like to see the main enemy become more dynamic in their actions in the full game, but overall this is a solid 9.5/10 and I'll 100% be checking out the game at launch!
The game has a nice atmosphere and tension to it. My biggest gripe besides the see through wall is the walking speed of the player. But beyond that, nice job. I'll be keeping an eye on this game.
This game has massive potential to be something great, it just needs the enemy speed and player speed increased as it doesn't make sense for the victim and the killer to be doing a chase at walking speed. Love everything else and would love to see the full game. Thank you for making this! 3rd game.
Hello, very good game, I have created a channel and I would like you to subscribe to it, I appreciate that you let me try your game, greetings from Spain
Nice demo. Really like how it's taking inspiration from RE7. I just wonder what the plot for this game will be like. The only thing I didn't really like was how slow the characters were moving. Other than that, a pretty good experience.
