love the VHS aspect and the wooded area/basement is genuinely scary, would love to see more in the images, maybe even the guy in the back getting closer to the player?
I played this game as a part of 3 short indie games. I actually really love your take on the animated short - I wasn't expecting it to be so scary, and the camera flashes look great! I didn't know about the short before this game so thanks for introducing us to it! :D
Love this so much! I really wish there was like a big scare with one of the pictures but still awesome job at creating such a tense atmosphere as you progress! Great job!
And the moral of the story is ... Jimmy! Game is fairly solid. Just kinda wish there was a little guidance in the forest. I also ran into a bug(?) with text overlapping in Jimmy's Bedroom.
I hope your grandma gets better soon! I was hoping it wasn't cancer but stuff like that does have surprises. Hope she fights it and lives considering shes old.
This was a cool little game! I liked the message at the end. I do wonder where his parents got the camera from? The jumpscare got me at the end. Here is my playthrough (PS I made a donation, hope your Grandma gets the help she needs. ) Keep on making more spooky projects!
I enjoyed this one! Very smooth movement and fantastic visuals! I'd love to see an expanded version of this concept with more interactivity available to the player (pick up the magazine and flip through, play the games, open the closets, walk through the house, etc.)
Also, prayers up for Grandma! Hopefully when you release your next game it will come with an update that she kicked cancer's ass!

I came here to actually commend the message at the end before I knew you did include it. I told my husband that The Kid Behind The Camera should be shown in schools. Of course leave the feet out but I wish a message at the end was made. You did that and as a parent when I watched the short I really really had hoped somewhere it has that memo.
